Your First Chat
Overview
Type a message, press Enter, and Torki answers as it writes. Everything else in this article is what you can do around that.
Get started
1. Send a message
Type your message in the input bar at the bottom of the screen and press Enter to send it. Use Shift + Enter for a new line without sending.
2. Watch the answer arrive
Torki responds with streaming text, so you see the answer appear as it is written.
To interrupt it, click the Stop button in the input bar — while an answer is streaming the Send arrow is replaced by a larger square Stop button, tooltipped "Stop generating".
3. Do something with the answer
Hover an answer and a row of buttons appears beneath it:
- Copy — copy the whole response; the button reads "Copied!" for a moment to confirm.
- Regenerate — ask Torki to try again.
- Read aloud — have your browser speak the answer.
- Dislike — opens a short "What went wrong?" form with five reasons and a comment box.
- Like — marks the answer for yourself in the current view only.
Nothing is sent when you press Dislike until you choose a reason or write a comment and press Submit. The report goes to the Torki team, who read it. Nothing you send is used to train the model, and a Like is not sent anywhere at all.
The Share icon under an individual answer does nothing. To share a conversation, use the ⋯ menu on the chat in the sidebar.
Getting better answers
- Be specific. "Write a 200-word product description for a stainless steel water bottle, aimed at hikers" beats "write about a bottle".
- Give context. Tell Torki who the answer is for and what it will be used for.
- Iterate. Ask for changes in plain language — "shorter", "less formal", "add a section on pricing".
- Switch modes for the task. Pulse for quick answers, Orbit for everyday work — both on every plan. Stellar and Cosmos, for deep analysis and heavier code work, need Lite, Arc or Zenith.
FAQ
Where is the Stop button?
In the input bar, where Send usually is — not below the message.
Does my feedback train the model?
No. It goes to the team as a report; the model is not updated from it.
Can I edit a message I already sent?
Send a follow-up instead — "actually, make that formal" — and Torki will work from the correction.
