Connectors
Connecting Microsoft 365 (Outlook Mail & Calendar)
Overview
Microsoft 365 appears in Settings → Connectors as a card with three rows — Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar and OneDrive. Each row has its own Connect button and its own sign-in; connecting one does not connect the others.
Today only two of them do anything, and both are read-only: Outlook Mail lets Torki read your recent inbox messages, and Outlook Calendar lets Torki read the events in your next seven days. OneDrive does not work yet.
What it needs
Microsoft 365 is included from Lite upward. It is not part of the Free plan.
Get started
1. Connect a row
- Go to Settings → Connectors
- Under "Microsoft 365", click Connect on the row you want — Outlook Mail or Outlook Calendar
- Sign in with your Microsoft account (personal or work/school) on the page Torki opens in the same tab
- Grant the requested permissions; Torki brings you back to Settings → Connectors
Read the consent screen carefully. It currently asks for more than Torki uses — the Outlook Mail row asks for permission to send mail and the Outlook Calendar row asks for read-write calendar access, even though Torki can only read today. Approve only if you are comfortable granting more than Torki uses.
2. Read your inbox
Ask "what's in my Outlook inbox?" and Torki shows your 10 most recent messages, newest first, with sender, subject, a short preview and an unread count, under a header reading "Outlook Mail — Inbox".
It cannot search your mail, open a full message, mark anything read, or reply.
3. Read your calendar
Ask "what's on my Outlook calendar?" and Torki lists the events from now to seven days out, up to 50, with title, start, end and location, under a header reading "Outlook Calendar — This Week".
That window is fixed, so asking for one day or for next week returns the same seven days.
Good to know
Torki cannot send Outlook mail. If you ask it to, it answers "Sending Outlook emails isn't supported yet — this is on our roadmap. For now I can read your Outlook inbox but can't send mail from it."
Do not treat any approval card for an Outlook send as an email that went out.
Creating Outlook events is not supported. Torki answers "Creating Outlook calendar events isn't supported yet" and offers to put the event on your Google Calendar instead.
OneDrive is not available yet. The OneDrive row will complete a sign-in, but nothing you ask for will run: Torki answers "OneDrive search isn't wired yet — coming soon" and offers to search your Google Drive instead. Leave this row disconnected for now.
Disconnecting
Disconnect each row separately in Settings → Connectors — turning off Outlook Mail leaves Outlook Calendar connected. Disconnecting deletes the credentials Torki stored for that row.
It does not revoke anything on Microsoft's side. If you want the grant removed there too, also remove Torki from your Microsoft account's app permissions.
FAQ
Why does the consent screen ask to send mail?
The permission set was written ahead of the feature. Torki has no send path today — the request is wider than what it uses.
Can Torki find a file in OneDrive?
No. That connector is not wired up yet.
Can I ask about a specific day in Outlook?
No. The read window is fixed at seven days from now.
Why is my Outlook still connected after I disconnected?
Torki removes its own copy of the credentials. Microsoft keeps its record of the grant until you remove Torki from your account's app permissions.
