What Is Deep Research?

Deep Research is Torki's advanced research mode that goes far beyond a single web search. When you activate it, Torki decomposes your question into 3 to 6 targeted sub-queries, searches each one independently, fetches full web pages for the most relevant results, and then synthesizes everything into a comprehensive, well-cited report.

How to Use It

Activate Deep Research from the tools dropdown in the chat input bar by selecting "Study." Then type your research question and send it. Torki will show you each step of the research process as it works, so you can follow along.

What to Expect

Deep Research typically takes 30 to 60 seconds to complete, depending on the complexity of your query. During this time, Torki will:

  • Break your question into focused sub-queries
  • Search multiple sources for each sub-query
  • Fetch and read full web pages for the most promising results
  • Synthesize all findings into a structured, detailed response
  • Include citations and source links throughout

When to Use Deep Research

Deep Research is ideal for:

  • Comprehensive topic overviews that need multiple perspectives
  • Market research and competitive analysis
  • Academic or technical research requiring depth
  • Complex questions that a single search cannot fully answer
  • Comparing different viewpoints on a subject

For quick factual questions, regular web search is faster and more appropriate. Save Deep Research for questions that genuinely benefit from thorough investigation.
