Torki Platform & the Torki API

2 min read · Checked against the product on 22 September 2026

Overview

The Torki API lets your own code use the four Torki models through an OpenAI-compatible interface. Keys, billing and usage live in Torki Platform. The API is in private beta: access is granted by the Torki team.

Get started

1. Request access

Sign in to Torki Platform (platform.torkiai.com) with your Torki account and click Request access. If Torki Platform says it isn't open yet, join the waitlist from the API tab on the pricing page.

2. Add credit

The API is prepaid, pay as you go: Torki Platform → Settings → Billing. API credit is separate from your Torki app plan and from app usage credits.

3. Create a key

Torki Platform → API keys. Keys start with tk_live_ and the full key is shown only once, so copy it right away.

4. Call the API

Use any OpenAI-compatible SDK: change the base URL to https://torkiai.com/api/v1, use your key and a model name.

Models and prices

Per million tokens, input / output:

  • torki-pulse — $0.10 / $0.40
  • torki-orbit — $0.15 / $0.60
  • torki-stellar — $0.30 / $1.20
  • torki-cosmos — $0.50 / $2.00

Cached input bills at 10% of the input price, and Batch API requests at 50% of these prices. Reasoning tokens count as output.

Usage tiers and rate limits

Your tier is set by the credit you have bought (promotional credit does not count) and moves up automatically:

  • Evaluation — beta access, no purchase yet; $10 monthly spend cap.
  • Tier 1 — any credit purchase; $100 monthly cap.
  • Tier 2 — $50 of credit bought in total; $500 monthly cap.
  • Tier 3 — $250 of credit bought in total; $2,000 monthly cap.

Each tier sets requests per minute and input and output tokens per minute, separately for Pulse and Orbit and for Stellar and Cosmos. See yours on Torki Platform → Settings → Rate limits. Over a limit, the API answers 429 with a retry-after header.

FAQ

Is API credit the same as usage credits in the app?

No. They are separate balances with different packs, and one cannot pay for the other.

Do I need the API for Torki Code?

No. Torki Code uses your ordinary Torki account.
