Deleting Your Account

Overview

Deleting is a soft delete with a 14-day recovery window. A few things are worth doing first, because deletion does not do them for you.

Before you delete

1. Export your data

Go to Settings → Data Controls and click Export next to Export Data, then pick JSON Format, Markdown or Plain Text.

The bulk export covers your 50 most recent conversations, up to 100 messages each. It does not include saved memories, project instructions or project files — and the PDF Document option currently saves a plain-text file.

If you need a proper PDF of a particular conversation, export that chat from its ⋯ menu before you delete.

2. Cancel your subscription

Deleting your account does not automatically end a paid plan. Cancel it in Settings → Billing first, or through Apple if you subscribed in the iOS app.

3. Disconnect your connectors

Do this yourself. Deleting your Torki account does not revoke those grants for you.

Go to Toolkit → Connectors and click Disconnect on each connected app — for Google and Microsoft, on each connected service. Disconnecting Google also asks Google to revoke Torki's access; for every other app, and for anything you miss, remove Torki by hand from that account's list of connected apps.

Deleting

  1. Go to Settings → Account
  2. Scroll to the Delete Account section
  3. Click Delete account in the warning dialog that appears
  4. Confirm on the second screen by clicking Sorry, I have to go

The 14-day recovery window

During this period:

  • Your account is immediately deactivated and your chats, projects and files are hidden
  • Your data is retained but inaccessible for 14 days
  • After 14 days, all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted

If you change your mind within the 14-day window, sign back in with the same account and Torki will restore it. If you cannot sign back in, email support@torkiai.com before the 14 days are up. After that, recovery is not possible.

FAQ

Can I get my data back after 14 days?

No. That is the point of the window — after it, the data is gone.

Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?

No. Cancel it first, or you may keep being billed.

Will Google still show Torki as connected?

Yes, unless you disconnect first or remove Torki from your Google account's permissions page.
