The Weekly Limit
Overview
On top of the rolling 5-hour limits, each Torki account has a weekly allowance. The two measure different things: the 5-hour limits count what you send, and the week measures how much model work your requests take.
Two meters, both true
- 5-hour limits count messages. Every message you send costs one message, whichever mode you pick: Pulse, Orbit, Stellar or Cosmos.
- The weekly allowance is weighted by mode. For the same conversation, a Stellar turn uses about 2× as much of the week as an Orbit turn and a Cosmos turn about 3.3×; Pulse uses about two thirds. Images and Torki Code steps count toward the week too.
Get started
1. Open Settings → Usage
The This week bar shows how much of your week you have used, a forecast, and the exact time your week resets.
2. Read the reset time
Your week is your own: it starts with your first message after the previous week ended and runs for 7 days. It is not a fixed weekday for everyone.
Good to know
Weekly limits are being introduced. Until they apply to your account, the This week bar is for information only and only the 5-hour limits can pause you. Once they apply, a full week pauses sending until your reset time — unless you have switched on usage credits.
Torki warns you in the chat at 75% and again at 90% of the week. Bigger plans have bigger weekly allowances: Lite is about 6.7× Free, Arc 3× Lite and Zenith about 3.3× Arc.
FAQ
Why did my week run out so fast?
Stellar and Cosmos reason before answering, and that reasoning counts. Long conversations also use more, because every turn re-reads the whole chat. Torki Code, large files and Deep Research read a lot of text. For everyday questions, Orbit or Pulse stretch the week much further, and starting a new chat for a new topic keeps each turn light.
Does a Cosmos message cost more messages?
No. It is still one message toward your 5-hour limit. It uses more of the weekly allowance.
Does the Torki API count toward my week?
No. Developer API usage on Torki Platform is billed separately from your app plan.
