Chat History Toggle
Torki gives you control over whether your conversations are saved. Go to Settings to find the chat history toggle:
- On (default) — All conversations are saved and appear in your sidebar. You can revisit, search, and continue any past conversation.
- Off — New conversations are not saved after you close them. This is useful if you are discussing sensitive topics or simply prefer not to keep records.
Turning off chat history does not delete existing conversations. Previously saved chats remain until you delete them manually.
Exporting Your Data
You can export your conversations in multiple formats:
- JSON — Machine-readable format with full message metadata. Useful for backups or importing into other tools.
- Markdown — Clean, formatted text files. Easy to read and share.
- TXT — Plain text format for maximum compatibility.
- PDF — Formatted documents suitable for printing or archiving.
Deleting Your Data
You have several options for removing data:
- Delete individual chats — Right-click a chat in the sidebar and select Delete.
- Delete all chats — Clear your entire chat history from Settings.
- Delete your account — Remove all data associated with your account (see the Deleting Your Account article).
Deletions are permanent. Export any conversations you want to keep before deleting them.
