How Torki Protects Your Data
Overview
Torki answers you with its own model rather than passing your conversation to another company's AI service, and nothing you type is used to train it.
Two features are exceptions by design: Search and Research send your search terms to search engines, and a connector sends whatever a request needs to the app it connects to, such as Google, Microsoft or Notion. Everything else stays with Torki.
No training on your data
Your conversations are not used to train AI models. Torki's models are trained before release and are not updated from your use of the service. This is not a setting you need to enable.
Encryption
All data travelling between your device and Torki is encrypted with TLS, so your messages cannot be read in transit.
Connector tokens
Connector tokens are held in Torki's own database and are never sold or handed to another company. Remove one at any time by disconnecting the app in Toolkit → Connectors.
Disconnecting deletes the stored token from your account. For Google connectors Torki also asks Google to revoke it.
For Microsoft and every other app, the token is removed on Torki's side only. If you want the permission withdrawn there as well, remove Torki from that account's list of connected apps.
What Torki keeps
Torki keeps:
- your account details
- your conversations — everything except a Private Chat
- the files you upload and the images you generate
- anything saved to your Memory list
- your connector tokens
- basic sign-in records: the device and IP address shown against each active session and each passkey in Settings → Security
Torki does not sell data, serve ads, or share your information with third parties for marketing.
Connector security
When you connect an app like Google Calendar or GitHub, Torki uses OAuth 2.0: you sign in on that app's own page. Torki never sees or stores your password for it.
FAQ
Does anything I type leave Torki?
Only through Search, Research and connectors, and only the part of the request those need. The conversation itself is not sent to another AI provider.
Can Torki staff read my chats?
Not as a matter of course. An administrator can open an account for a limited time to investigate a support issue, and every one of those sessions is recorded in an audit log.
Is my data encrypted at rest?
