Setting Up Passkeys & MFA

Passkeys

Passkeys let you sign in using biometric authentication — your fingerprint, face recognition, or device PIN — instead of typing a password. They are built on industry standards and are one of the most secure ways to protect your account.

To set up a passkey:

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Find the Passkeys section and click Add Passkey
  3. Your browser will prompt you to authenticate with your device's biometric sensor or PIN
  4. Once confirmed, the passkey is registered to your account

On your next login, you can choose to sign in with your passkey instead of a password. Passkeys work across supported browsers and devices.

Two-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Add an extra layer of security with two-factor authentication using any authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.

To enable 2FA:

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to confirm setup

Recovery Codes

When you enable 2FA, Torki generates 8 recovery codes. Save these in a secure place. If you ever lose access to your authenticator app, you can use a recovery code to sign in and disable or reconfigure 2FA. Each recovery code can only be used once.
