Theme Options
Torki supports three theme settings to match your preference and environment:
- Dark mode — The default theme. Uses a dark background with light text, designed to reduce eye strain in low-light environments and save battery on OLED screens.
- Light mode — A clean, bright theme with a white background. Ideal for well-lit environments or users who prefer a traditional light interface.
- System — Automatically matches your operating system's theme setting. If your device switches between dark and light mode based on time of day, Torki follows along.
How to Switch Themes
There are several ways to change your theme:
- Open the Settings menu from the sidebar and select your preferred theme under the Theme section.
- Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + L to switch to light mode.
- Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + D to switch to dark mode.
Theme Persistence
Your theme preference is saved to your browser's localStorage, so it persists across sessions and page reloads. If you use multiple devices, you may need to set your preferred theme on each one independently.
The entire interface adapts to your chosen theme, including the chat area, sidebar, settings pages, canvas editor, and all modals and panels. All colors are defined through CSS custom properties to ensure a consistent look across every component.
